Systems Infrastructure
Whether there is a requirement to provide Network Infrastructure (both Fixed or Wireless), Hardware Infrastructure (HWI) or a combination of all, it is essential that clearly defined requirements are agreed and subsequent technical design completed to facilitate delivery of the required solution.
Projects of this nature are often critical to the successful delivery of an overall programme of works and therefore require careful management.
IPM have supported the delivery of Infrastructure projects including the Heathrow Airport Terminal 5 Baggage system Server Farm - An Infrastructure platform comprising a complex system of Windows and UNIX Application Servers together with a Sun Solaris Database. IPM add value to projects of this nature by facilitating successful communication with technical resource delivering systems to ensure on time delivery to meet requirements.
Network delivery requires careful co-ordination with 'overarching' construction projects to ensure delivery of Comms rooms, complete and ready to fit out, together with delivery of the physical cabling to provide the required network.
Like HWI Projects a LAN is often an essential element of a project that requires early delivery and IPM staff are well versed in identifying constraints to delivery whilst scheduling and managing works to ensure on time delivery.
